executive coaching

In today’s fast-paced and unpredictable world, leaders are carrying heavier burdens than ever. Global health crises, economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological change have created a constant backdrop of pressure. On top of this, leaders are expected to drive performance, inspire teams, manage organisational change, and safeguard employee well-being—all at the same time. Balancing these demands often leaves them stretched, stressed, and exhausted. Many feel the weight of responsibility for not just the success of their organisations, but the well-being of the people who depend on them, and it is no wonder that weariness is widespread among those in leadership.
To help leaders navigate these pressures, I offer Integrated Executive Coaching—a beneficial and emerging blend of therapy and coaching that supports them in overcoming internal obstacles and empowers them to thrive both professionally and personally
More On Integrated Coaching
Different people define integrated coaching in different ways. I define it as “a blended approach that combines the forward focused, goal-oriented and outcomes-driven aspects of coaching with the restorative, insight building elements of psychotherapy”. This integrated method addresses both personal and professional challenges, empowering individuals to achieve their goals while fostering emotional well-being and personal growth.
Our coaching journey is a collaborative partnership, where your needs and aspirations take centre stage. The blended coach-therapy process helps you to identify things in your work and your life that are bothersome to you, or that you want to achieve, addressing any blocks that may be holding you back. These barriers can include stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, overthinking, past trauma, or self-limiting beliefs blocking high performance. My integrated-coaching approach is warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic as well as dynamic, challenging and transformative. It also challenges clients to create change by increasing their self-awareness and accessing their inner resourcefulness to overcome personal blocks, increase mastery and confidence, gain clarity and create sustainable change.
By integrating aspects of psychotherapy and coaching theory, I’m able to deliver sessions that are concise yet facilitate deeper exploration. It is ideal for those who neither need nor desire therapy, but require a little more depth in achieving their goals.
Leadership Challenges
My clients include corporate leaders, executives, senior managers, business owners and founders, CEO entrepreneurs, HR professionals, and talk practitioners in leadership roles.
They often experience:
- A desire to increase leadership impact and personal effectiveness
- An important decision to make
- Experienced professional success but with consequences in their personal life
- Been struggling quietly or openly with chronic/acute stress, feelings of overwhelm or burnout
- Have eroded resilience
- Noticed a lack of clarity
- Less mental health and wellbeing than they’d like
- Communication or other relationship challenges with their staff teams and other key stakeholders
- Poor work-life harmony
- Overcoming internal barriers and mindset blocks, e.g., imposter syndrome, unhelpful thinking habits, rumination, etc.
With 25 years of experience, including 12 years of personal experience as a leader, I am passionate about offering discreet coaching and psychological support that enables leaders to excel, improve personal wellbeing and lead joyfully.
The Proven Benefits of Integrated Executive Coaching
The proven benefits of integrated coaching (therapeutic coaching) have been documented by research results released by Lloyds Bank and Mental Health UK’s Workplace Mental Health Team in February 2024. In their research into the impact of therapeutic coaching on business owners, in survey participants who’d attended three coaching sessions they established found:
- 94% of business owners reported that therapeutic coaching has had a positive impact on their mental health
- 83% of business owners reported that therapeutic coaching has had a positive impact on their business.
Upon follow-up with business owners, many say that they are still applying the tools discussed in their therapeutic coaching sessions, suggesting that engagement in therapeutic coaching has been meaningful with a lasting impact.
A strong body of research indicates that generally executive coaching yields between 221% and 788% return on investment (ROI) and the coaching industry is growing at pace. Research also consistently shows executive coaching brings a wealth of benefits to both the leader and the organisation, including:
Individual Benefits
- Improved work performance
- Clarity of thought
- Increased self and other awareness
- More self-confidence
- Better business management
- Better mental health and wellbeing
- Improvements in leadership
- Effective communication skills

Integrated executive coaching brings even further value in that it offers client the opportunity to explore stumbling blocks in greater depth with a well qualified, accredited and experienced practitioner. This approach is ideal for leaders who need a little more support and depth in their coaching, but have no desire or need for ‘pure’ psychotherapy.
