Psychotherapy, Executive Coaching & Consultancy London & Kent

To be the best version of themselves, leaders must keep setting compelling goals to continue improving their skills, lead teams effectively, improve communication, boost motivation, and benefit themselves and their organisations. However, even the most adept leader may sometimes hit a bump in the road, whether due to personal challenges or external factors.

I offer Psychotherapeutic executive coaching (sometimes called therapeutic coaching, integrated coaching or personal consultancy) that enables leaders to clear personal blocks and flourish both professionally and personally.

What is Psychotherapeutic Executive Coaching?

Some leaders aspire to achieve their goals but may have personal challenges creating a block of barrier. For example, some clients I work with want to be effective but may experience overwhelm or burnout. They may have a desire to be impactful but may have a personal history of trauma. Or, they may have ambitious professional goals but may notice personal relationships suffering as a result, leaving them struggling to establish work-life harmony. The coaching I offer is an integrated approach which combines the structured, goal-oriented, future-focused and results-driven energy of coaching with the considered, exploratory and theoretical underpinnings of psychotherapy.

My psychotherapeutically informed coaching approach helps clients to help themselves create lasting change. It is warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic as well as dynamic, challenging and transformative. It also challenges clients to create change by increasing their self-awareness and accessing their inner resourcefulness to overcome personal blocks, increase mastery and confidence, gain clarity and create sustainable change.

By integrating aspects of Existential and Cognitive-Behavioural psychotherapy, I’m able to deliver coaching that is concise yet facilitates deeper exploration. This helps coaching clients to establish what is concerning them in the here-and-now, pinpointing the unhelpful mindset or self-limiting beliefs blocking success. It also empowers clients to establish and connect to their talents and strengths, finding ways to become the best version of themselves as leaders.

Leadership Challenges

My clients include leaders, senior managers, business owners and founders, CEO entrepreneurs, HR professionals, and talk practitioners in leadership roles. They will mostly be from the private sector but also work within the public and charitable sectors.

The leaders I work with include those who have:

  • A desire to increase leadership impact and personal effectiveness
  • Experienced professional success but with consequences in their personal life
  • Been struggling quietly or openly with chronic/acute stress, feelings of overwhelm or burnout
  • Have eroded resilience
  • Noticed a lack of clarity
  • Less mental health and wellbeing than they’d like
  • Communication or other relationship challenges with their staff teams and other key stakeholders
  • Poor work-life harmony
  • Overcoming internal barriers and mindset blocks, e.g., imposter syndrome, unhelpful thinking habits, rumination, etc.

As a fully qualified executive coach with an additional 23 years of psychotherapy, over 3 years of coaching experience, and a further 12 years of leadership experience, I am passionate about offering discreet coaching and psychological support that enables high-achieving leaders to further excel, improve personal wellbeing and be the best leaders they can be.

My Coaching Approach?

I offer an integrated approach to executive coaching. This is where i move between future focused, results driven coaching, and key aspects of Existential and CBT psychotherapy. My approach, derived from the personal consultancy model, allows the leader to be heard, identify their goals, find balance through clear internal blocks, and to take action enabling them to achieve their highest aspirations.

The coaching is about you, the client, and I, the coach, working in equal partnership to have a concise, powerful, thought-provoking, future-focused, action-oriented, and results-driven conversation. This helps you to either identify professional and personal issues and obstacles blocking you from success or aspects where you’ve experienced success and wish to excel further,  to unlock the solutions which lay within you, creating significant sustainable change.
