My name is Belinda Wilson and I am a fully qualified, experienced and registered Psychotherapist and the Director of Therapy Unlimited.

My Approach

I am passionate about providing a safe, understanding psychotherapy and counselling space that can help you to overcome problems, learn new skills and make lasting change, ultimately helping you to find relief and achieve your aspirations. I aim to offer a warm, down to earth approach to therapy work.

I am committed to equality and diversity, and I offer psychotherapy and counselling to a broad range of clients. I have successfully completed training in and have offered therapy to clients who require a British Sign Language (BSL) or mother tongue language interpreter.

My Background

I have provided individual and group therapies within a range of NHS and charitable services, as well as within the private sector. I have worked as a Director of therapeutic services, as well as delivering specialist psychotherapy for sexual and domestic violence services. I have also had extensive experience of working for therapy services (and crisis services) for addiction, self-harm and suicide prevention services within Camden and Islington in North London.

I have offered my extensive skills for independent consultancy psychotherapy work for an award-winning London based psychotherapy service, working with professional clients with a wide variety of issues.

These experiences have meant I have been fortunate to have worked with people with all kinds of problems, from all walks of life.

My Qualifications & Registration

I successfully completed my psychotherapy and counselling training at the School of Psychotherapy & Counselling at Regent's University (formerly Regent's College) in London. I successfully completed further specialist training as a Master Practitioner for Eating Disorders at the National Centre for Eating Disorders in Surrey.

My primary therapeutic approach is Existential; however, I also apply strands from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where most beneficial to clients.

I have successfully achieved the following qualifications:

 B.A (HON) Psychology with Social Studies
 Post-graduate Certificate in Health Psychology
 M.A Psychotherapy & Counselling

I also hold a Master Practitioner Award in Eating Disorders and Obesity which consists of an:

 Advanced Diploma in Eating Disorders & Nutritional Interventions
 Diploma in Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders
 Post-graduate Certificate in Obesity Management

I have also successfully achieved a Diploma in Counselling Supervision with Distinction.

I am UKCP registered and adhere to the UKCP code of ethics. I am also a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of the Society for Existential Analysis (SEA). I am committed to continued personal and professional development and attend clinical supervision as part of best practice.
